12th Annual Claronelle Smith Griffin Distinguished Speaker and 40th Anniversary Banquet

On Sunday, March 24, 2024, the Pleasant Street Historical Society (PSHS) hosted its 40th Anniversary Banquet, celebrating years of dedication to preserving and sharing local history. The evening brought together community members, historians, and special guests to honor the neighborhood history. Claronelle Smith Griffin, second president of PSHS, spoke on our mission of raising money to renovate the home where histories, artifacts, and accomplishments of the African Americans in Alachua county will be exhibited.
